It’s a sign of hope for Mildred Harris’ children. Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office got a hit on DNA that could lead them to a potential suspect. Harris was 41 at the time of her death. She left behind three children, one of whom has passed away. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 70-year-old Jacksonville man has died after an unusual crash involving an ambulance in St. Lucie County. According to WPTV, the Florida Highway Patrol said the man was a patient in an ambulance as it traveled south on I-95 and jumped out while it was moving. A 29-year-old paramedic from Jacksonville who was also in the back of the ambulance tried to stop him and also fell onto the roadway. President Joe Biden will establish a national monument honoring Emmett Till, the Black teenager from Chicago who was abducted, tortured and killed in 1955 after he was accused of whistling at a white woman in Mississippi, and his mother, a White House official said Saturday. A ranger-led hike is providing insight into an 1862 battle in northern Mississippi. On August 12, guests will be able to join Ranger Laura Lee McKellips to learn more about the of Davis Bridge and its connection to the Battle of Corinth, according to the National Park Service.
