JACKSON, Miss. —
Jackson police are investigating a drive-by shooting that killed a 34-year-old man.
According to Sam Brown, public information officer for the Jackson Police Department, the 34-year-old was shot this morning near the I-20 ramp at Highway 80. Brown said officers found the unidentified man in a wrecked vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was rushed into surgery before succumbing to his injuries.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
